Klosjes Saturday: From Holland with Love!

A quick update and a HUGE thank YOU!

Holland dressed in Orange for my arrival... Oh, not for me?
Oh yes, World Cup has Holland gripped in Orange Fever!
Hup, Holland, Hup!

:)

For all of those of you wondering and keeping my sis in your prayers:
No Baby, yet! She is back under the care of her midwife and we are patiently waiting for nature to take its course--
In the meantime we are making the best of our time together: resting, preparing and having fun.

My niece is so happy to have me around which puts my sis at ease.
Not much stitching going on. But I did manage to make a few Klosjes in the plane, using my handy dandy dental floss to cut threads!
:)

  6. The excitement mounts! Lots of fun girl time while you wait! At least you didn't lose your treasured sewing scissor to the airport inspectors! I swear they claim they'll mail them back to you...but really must run a black market in sewing supplies from all the quliters who forget! ;-)))) Lots of hugs and prayers going out to Holland!

  8. What a good idea to use the floss dispenser to cut your sewing thread! Airlines are very strict about sharp objects being carried onto the plane nowdays and rightly so. I have a Clover pendant cutter, which doesnt seem to break the rules.
Lovely photo of you and your sister, i wish her all the best with the birth of her new baby XX

  20. Good morning Valentina,

I LOVE your klosjes, well done on the plane; I tried to, but I get sick :-(

Your sister's baby keeps us waiting, but the good thing is that you and her can spend some 'normal' time together.

Wish your sister and her family well!

The flags were OFCOURSE because of your arrvial in Holland :-)

  23. Hallo Valentina, hoe gaat het inmiddels met je zus? Maakt de baby nog geen aanstalten om te komen? Wel gezellig om wat extra tijd met je zus door te brengen. (en de Nederlandse voetbalgekte mee te maken.Erg he!)

My Patchwork Family Through Adoption

A Bit of Africa and China
Came knocking on our door
And in a home where there was longing
Now empty rooms no more

Like a Quilt of Many Colours
Our Family stitched together into One
God's Love and Grace for us Abundant
In the Miracle of our Sons
