a little note...

in case you feel in a rut, or feel overwhelmed by your projects, or feel pulled to so many different directions and are confused as to why you keep needing more fabrics and are so easily tempted to making new quilts...

Because we are quilters. And we have a very unique gift and calling...

Just visit Victoria today, if you need a little reminder why we have chosen to be Quilters!

:)

With Joy,
Valentina

  1. A wonderful story and photos. You are spot on when you need a lift as a quilter and human being quilt for someone in need.
I don't need to know where the quilt ends up just that it gives love to whoever recieves one of my humble efforts.

    Thanks for the reminder.

  3. I cried reading Victoria's blog Valentina. The joy in giving and always appreciating what you have, and never forgetting the less fortunate. How a simple act of kindness can mean so much to another. Victoria is an angel.

  5. Thanks for reminding me that quilting is a unique gift and calling. Today I will focus on ONE project and what it will mean to the loved ones who will receive it.

I needed to hear this! Bless your heart!

  6. Valentina, thanks for sharing about Victoria. Her blog is amazing and so inspiring. Even though they aren't called Miagia's (wink), the end result is the same. We are sharing with others and we are all blessed.

  9. Thanks for this post Valentina, I cruised through her site and am very inspired. I inherited a lot of fabric scraps but I don't have time to make too much right now. I am glad to know that there are people out there who turn scraps into glory. When all things are sorted I will have a give away on my blog to someone who will make something for a charity. That will make Hazel (the woman I inherited from) happy.

My Patchwork Family Through Adoption

A Bit of Africa and China
Came knocking on our door
And in a home where there was longing
Now empty rooms no more

Like a Quilt of Many Colours
Our Family stitched together into One
God's Love and Grace for us Abundant
In the Miracle of our Sons
